The community in the are is prodominatly nomadic maasai pastrolist, the keep cow, sheep, and goats, donkeys are also kept. the maasai have a bout six clans who share common language, tradition and ideals, being seasonal migrants, the maasai live in linear settement parterns to create room for grazing land, there fore they cannot afford te have permanent border, they live in smail pooorly vintilated hot made up of sticks and smeared with cow dung. the hot are constructed by woment and young girls, cooking and bead work also falls under the jurisdiction of women. men and youngboys looking after livestock.
